AlgoÉTS is the algorithmic trading club of the École de technologie supérieure (ÉTS). Coming from a university specializing in applied engineering, we bring together engineering, finance and data science into one club.

AlgoÉTS is a data science club, the only one of the École de technologie supérieure. We use data, math and technology to make predictions.
Nowadays, the majority of trades made on stock markets are done by computers. Indeed, the majority of bank employees work in technology. Finally, ÉTS trains competent students who are passionate about this finance.

The Technical Challenge
The majority of day traders lose money in the stock markets. We think this is the case because they don’t know the effectiveness of their strategies. This is why we are an algorithmic trading club. We develop algorithms that make the exchanges, allowing us to determine if our strategies would have worked in the past and therefore which ones will work in the future.
In fact, developing trading algorithms is difficult. That’s why we have a team of data scientists. We can develop several strategies simultaneously and thanks to BullETS, easily determine which ones are winners.

Our Activities
BullETS
We are developing our own library to test trading algorithms on historical data.
The project is open source, developed in Python and available on Github.
Strategies
We develop trading algorithms and test them using BullETS.
We use data analytics to better understand the future.
