The Club
AlgoÉTS is the algorithmic trading club of the École de technologie supérieure (ÉTS). Coming from a university specializing in applied engineering, we bring together engineering, finance and data science into one club.
Our Objectives
Responsible Investing
Promote responsible and analytical investing through data science
Strategies
Develop and test trading algorithms to analyze their past performance
Competitions
Represent ÉTS, a university specializing in applied engineering, in finance and trading competitions
Programming
Develop our own library to test trading algorithms on historical data
Education
Create workshops to learn the technological advancements of AI and trading algorithms
Social activities
Socialize with a motivated team during team bonding activities
AlgoÉTS is a data science club, the only one of the École de technologie supérieure. We use data, math and technology to make predictions.
Nowadays, the majority of trades made on stock markets are done by computers. Technology occupies an important place in the finance world. ÉTS trains competent students that are passionate by it.
Why
AlgoÉTS?
The Technical Challenge
Many day traders lose money in the stock market. In our opinion, it’s because they do not have efficient ways to test their strategies. That’s why AlgoETS was created. We develop algorithms that make the exchanges, allowing us to determine if our strategies would have worked in the past and make assomptions on their efficacy in the futur.
Developing trading algorithms isn’t an easy task. That’s why we have a devoted team. We can develop several strategies simultaneously and thanks to BullETS, easily determine which ones are winners.
